British Columbia is the westernmost of the Canadian provinces and is famed for its natural beauty. Due to its size and rugged, diverse topography, BC requires thousands of kilometers of provincial highways and roadways to connect its communities and schools. It has always been ASTSBC's objective to see that these roads are travelled safely by all school buses and their drivers. The ASTSBC Executive Committee consists of the following five Provincial Zones, each with a Zone Representative:
1) School District No. 093 (Counseil scolaire francophone) is not confined to a geographic area.
2) District listings include Independent Schools within their geographic area. These Independent Schools have their own Independent School Authorities and are not under the jurisdiction of public school boards.
